THE COSTA DAURADA ALL YEAR ROUND
The good climate of the Costa Daurada accompanies the visitor throughout the year and makes the area an ideal destination for any getaway. Famous for the beauty and variety of its beaches, the territory also has cultural routes and towns that harbor the charm of the history that comes from them.
A total of 94 Catalan beaches have obtained the Blue Flag distinction this 2022
The award, recognized internationally and awarded in 47 countries, values environmental management, the safety of bathing areas, the provision of services and information, and environmental education. Likewise, the quality of the bathing water must have obtained the ‘Excellent’ classification according to the directive that regulates the management of the quality of bathing water.
The coastal municipalities themselves are the ones who apply for the Blue Flag each year, voluntarily presenting the candidacies of their beaches.
The distinction has been awarded by the 2022 Blue Flag International Jury of the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), which distinguishes the candidates in collaboration with the Association for Environmental and Consumer Education (ADEAC), which manages the campaign in Spain, and has with the collaboration of the public administrations that manage the bathing areas and the microbiological quality of their waters.

THE BEACHES OF THE COSTA DAURADA
From the beaches of Tarragona to the Ebro Delta, along the coast, the fine sands that have given this coastal region its name due to its golden color are bathed by a warm and calm sea.
There are fishing villages, extensive beaches and also small coves of singular beauty.
Traveling along the coast we can reach Cambrils, a fishing village in whose port the fish auction takes place at sunset, which can be savored shortly after in one of the nearby restaurants.
L’Ametlla del Mar is another of the many coastal towns where you can breathe authentic seafaring character.
